Introduction to Athboy
Athboy from the Irish “Baile Átha Buí” meaning “Town of the Yellow Ford”, coming from the fact that Athboy is built on the Yellow Ford River, now more commonly called the Athboy River.
Athboy is a village in Co. Meath, steeped in history, more information about this on the history page. With a strong community spirit with
activities and clubs being a major part of the local community. The population of Athboy is ~2,500. Athboy is located in the West of Meath, near the border of Meath & Westmeath.
Close to the Towns of Trim, Navan & Kells in County Meath and only 65 kilometres from Dublin.
